The St. Louis Blues have been a roller coaster this season. Dominant on the road and giant teddy bears at home, shades of last season's early struggles are starting to become deja vu.
As head coach Jim Montgomery stirred the pot at practice prior to hosting the Dallas Stars at home on Saturday, there are some new line combos and a new player entering the fray.
Defenseman Logan Mailloux, who can still turn his season around, will be heading to the press box with Matthew Kessel punching in. For the forward group, I will let the graphic below explain the plethora of personnel changes.

Let's dive in, shall we.
Robert Thomas
Robert Thomas has been good so far this season, but not as dominant as he was a year ago. He is one of many Blues players that has seemingly taken a little bit of time to get themselves to full speed this season. With a goal and an assist in the first four games of the year, he now has a new linemate.
One of the three stars of the first week of the season, Dylan Holloway, will get some reps on the top line, which is almost entirely different from opening night on October 9. Can Thomas benefit from the new face on his left wing?
Dylan Holloway
Speaking of Holloway, he is another player to watch in this contest. He has been ferocious, tough, and any hindrance from his season-ending injury has seemingly disappeared.
Holloway has been a positive force in the top six, so it was only a matter of time before he got himself on the first line. This just further helps his case for a long-term extension.
Jordan Binnington
The Blues goaltending tandem needs to take back full control of this Blues season, right here and now. These blowout losses, in front of the home crowd, have been large in part due to the subpar play from the blue crease.
Jordan Binnington, as clutch as he has been in his many years with the Blues faithful, has to be the guy to push this team back in the right direction. Backup Joel Hofer will follow in his footsteps whenever his name is called again, but right now, Binnington needs to be lights out against the Central Division rivals, Dallas.
