The St. Louis Blues now have five players heading to Italy next month to represent their home countries for the 2026 Olympic Games. Dalibor Dvorsky, in his first full "rookie" season with the Blues and the NHL, got the nod this morning that he will be going.

This is a great choice and a great opportunity for this young man to prove himself. This tournament of best-on-best will be unlike anything else he has had to face in his short career thus far. In the past, he has proven to live up to the challenge, though.

Dvorsky represented his home country at the World Junior Championships in each of the last four years, prior to this most recent one. In the 2025 tournament, he had five goals and four assists in five games.

Now on a much larger stage, he has been a part of the Blues for most of this season and made a large impact against NHL competition. His play has been night-and-day from last season to this one, and it has even been enough to earn the trust of head coach Jim Montgomery to have some top-unit power play minutes.

Dvrosky will join Jordan Binnington and Colton Parayko, who are representing Team Canada. As well as Philip Broberg, who will be headlining a solid defensive unit with Sweden. And, announced yesterday, Pius Suter will be back before the Olympics as he was selected for Team Switzerland.

Can Dvorsky have a large impact on the tournament, and come back to the Blues better than before he went?
