The Olympics have not been a disappointment this year, and every game of the quarterfinals was an absolute joy. There were three overtime games, a complete onslaught by Slovakia, and three of the five St. Louis Blues representatives moving on to the semifinals.

Philip Broberg and Sweden, as well as Pius Suter and Switzerland, were eliminated. Jordan Binnington slammed the door on Czechia, Parayko did his part on defense to get Canada to advance. But, the story of the tournament for the Blues is Dalibor Dvorsky, and his historic run with Slovakia.

Here is what the semifinals will look like on Friday.

Let's go over some of the most recent news and happenings with the Blues and the NHL, as well as some more Olympics.

Canada's hope relies on No. 50

In the 4-3 win for Canada over Czechia, Binnington had to make some impressive saves to keep the game in reach. His outstanding play, despite allowing a tournament-high three goals against, might have won over head coach Jon Cooper and company. Can he keep Canada's hopes alive, and win them a gold medal?

Binnington worth more to move?

There is not much time left to the 2025-26 season, and General Manager Doug Armstrong has a lot of decisions to make. With 25 games remaining, and six left prior to the Trade Deadline, one of the more questionable moves will be regarding goaltender Binnington. He may be worth more to move, than to hold onto.

One last thing on goalies

Speaking of goalies, the pre-olympic grades have come out for both Binnington and backup Joel Hofer. How did they fare in the first 57 games of action?

Dvorsky sets rookie and Blues record at Olympics

With three goals and three assists for six points, Dvorsky set a rookie record for the Olympics. Coincedentally, it is also a Blues record for most points in this tournament, which is incredible considering the talented group of players to represent the Blue Note over the years. Can he will Slovakia to a upset over the United States?
