The entire hockey world is going to be glued to their social media and their TVs for the 2026 NHL Draft tonight. With a new class of promosing and incredible prospects about to find out their next destination in life, this is going to be a wild night.

The wildest team of the night is already anticipated to be the St. Louis Blues. With four picks in the first 29 selections tonight, there is an unlimited amount of opportunity for General Manager Doug Armstrong to make some noise.

Last night, we already saw the attempt to pursue Jason Robertson from Dallas, but he turned it down. Is there going to be another instance of the Blues trying to use these high draft picks to grab elite NHL players?

Here is what is expected to happen, without any other moves and transactions. Just the picks.

The Picks

The Blues are going to be selecting their next batch of NHL talent in the mid-to-late first round. They have the 11th pick, followed by back-to-back selections at No. 15 and No. 16, and all of that is wrapped up by the 29th pick.

Looking at who could be traded and scenarios including moving up in the draft, everything is basically open. Following the Jordan Kyrou trade, Armstrong should have no problem moving Jordan Binnington. Colton Parayko, who was supposed to be a trade asset, is now staying put for the time being.

Looking at the NHL Draft tonight, the Blues have an open checkbook. Using these picks as currency, they have an unprecedented amount of leverage to make some sweet deals to help push this franchise through this retooling phase quickly.

With this being Armstrong's final draft, and Alexander Steen getting ready to take over next week, expect some fireworks tonight. This team has a chance to get a large injection of solid talent, one way or another.
